GLOBAL ACCREDITATION FOR THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION AND CHARTERED THEOLOGIANS

Global Accrediation for Theological Education and Chartered Theologians (G.A.T.E.C.T.) is a non-profit independent accreditation body dedicated to providing a professional, legal and relevant educational accrediting service to Christian Universities, Seminaries and Bible Colleges in Ghana and internationally.We accredit Christian Universities, Theological Seminaries and Bible Schools of all sizes no matter where they are in the world. We provides assistance whether they are on-campus or online. We also give accreditation for minister credentials and give a chartered theologian status to deserving ministers of the Gospel and theologians.

We respects the autonomy of the local Church and are willing to assist Church leaders in their desire to equip and empower their own people at a local level.Due to the principle of separation of the Church and State (James 4:4,Mark 12:17, 2 Corinthians 6:14). Global Accreditation for Theological Education and Chartered Theologians has chosen not to pursue government-recognition. We understand that there is a difference between religious and secular education. Religious educational institutions are not required to obtain secular accreditation because they do not offer secular degrees and do not prepare their students for secular work.This means that Government -recognized accreditation is not very necessary for religious vacations. There is no EXPLICIT Biblical support or reference that people working in ministry positions need government-accredited cerificatiions. We recognize that there is a distinct separation between Church and State as already stated and fully support the freedom of Church leaders and religious educational institutions to offer programs that may lead to a Certificate, Diploma or Degree and Religious Doctorates.However, G.A.T.E.C.T. urges all its members to make sure that they comply with the laws of their State and/or nation.

The Purpose of  G.A.T.E.C.T.  is to:

1. certify that an institution has met the established standards of excellence
2. allow institutions to evaluate the acceptability of transfer credits into their own curricula programs

Accredited status means a school has voluntarily undergone a
comprehensive examination to determine that it operates at a worthy level of performance.

WHAT IS ACCREDITATION?

To be accredited simply means that an impartial group of professional scholars has investigated an institution and has approved of its standards of operation. It is when some outside or external organization

of educators have carefully examined a school and found it to be doctrinally, academically,financial reliable, and has certified that it meaqns their ethical standards.
